Dish TV’s umbrella works through satellite. It is mainly divided into three parts: Dish antenna, LNB (Low Noise Block Converter), set-top box.

The dish antenna is umbrella shaped, which captures the signals coming from the satellite. These signals are in microwave frequency and come directly from the satellite located in space.

LNB (Low Noise Block Converter) sends the signals captured from the dish antenna to the device. This device processes the signals and reduces their frequency and transmits them to the set-top box.

A set-top box is a device that decodes the signals coming from the LNB and prepares them for display on the TV screen. Through this you can change channels and watch content.

The satellite of Dish TV service provider revolves in the Earth’s orbit. It broadcasts signals of satellite content (TV shows, movies, etc.). Dish antenna captures these signals.

It is very important to set the dish antenna in the right direction. It is tilted towards the satellite that provides service in your area. If the dish is in the wrong direction, signal will not be received and the message “No Signal” will appear on the screen.
