iOS 26 beta 6 update: Apple has released the sixth developer beta of its iOS 26 operating system. Along with this, new updates have also been released for iPados, Watchos, Macos and TVOS. According to reports, the final version of iOS 26 will be launched in September which will include many new features, design changes and performance improvements.

Six new ringtones

The largest surprise of BETA 6 is to be added to six new ringtones which are based on the pre -existing ‘Reflection’ tone. Of these, the ‘Dreamer’ variant is the most discussed on social media, where users are calling it “amazing”.

Change in camera app

In the earlier beta version, Apple changed the swipe direction in the camera mode switcher, which broke users’ muscle memory and was not matching the behavior of other Apple apps. In BETA 5, the company added a “Classic Mode” togle, which made it possible to return to the old gesture. But BETA testers were not even satisfied with this, so in Beta 6, Apple removed this togle and brought back the old swipe gesture directly so that no settings are needed.

Liquid glass designed and flourished

The new Liquid Glass of iOS 26 has been improved in Visual Design Beta 6. Now color effects are more smooth and during navigation between app tabs, the magnifying glass-style selector looks more clear. Liquid Glass is now visible in the lock screen and togle switches, which makes the entire interface look and feel and premium.

New startup experience and smooth animation

After the update, users will get a new startup intro that will give a glimpse of major changes of iOS 26 such as liquid glass design, redigned app interface and new dark and clear icon styles. In addition, fast transitions and new animations have been added on opening and closing apps, causing overall user experience to become more smooth.

Bug fixing and improving stability

As every beta version happens, many bugs have been fixed in it, although some new bugs may still be present. Initial testers say that Beta 6 is faster and more stable than the previous version which indicates that Apple is now very close to final release.
