WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature for its iPhone users. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to use two WhatsApp accounts in one iPhone. This feature was already available for Android users and now iPhone users will also be able to take advantage of it. This means that now iPhone users will not have to resort to WhatsApp Business or any third party app to run two accounts on one device. This feature is being rolled out for all users in a phased manner.

New account list section in settings

Many beta testers have found a new account list section in the app’s settings. Users can add a new account by going to this section. During beta testing, users are getting the option to add two accounts, but the setup is flexible. That means users will be able to create an account with a new number and link the WhatsApp Business account running on another device. Apart from this, you will also be able to scan the QR code to connect to the companion account. After the setup is complete, the chatting and settings of the secondary accounts will automatically sync to the primary device.

Both accounts will work completely separately

The special thing about the new feature is that both the accounts running on one device will work completely separately. This means that chat backup, notification preferences and other settings will remain separate for both so that both the accounts do not interfere with each other. Besides, there will be a label on the notification, so that the user can easily identify which account this notification is related to.

WhatsApp is also working on this new feature

According to reports, WhatsApp is working on another new feature, which will make it easier for the user to understand why his account has been suspended. This feature will give a short and relevant explanation to the users, in which it will be told due to which activities it has been suspended.
