T-cael therapy for cancer: Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi has given a new life to a woman suffering from lymphoma cancer. The hospital tried the T-sale therapy at a 48-year-old woman and it was successful. After this, Safdarjung Hospital has become the third central hospital of North India to successfully execute this therapy. Earlier this therapy was done only in PGI Chandigarh and AIIMS New Delhi.

Let me tell you, a woman suffering from lymphoma cancer came to know about her illness about a year ago. Glands (lumps) were being made throughout his body. These glands were growing from the throat to the stomach and in other parts of the body. This woman was undergoing treatment in the cancer department of Safdarjung Hospital, but the traditional treatment had no effect on the woman, after which the oncology department of Safdarjung Hospital tried the CAR-T cell therapy at the woman and it was successful.

What is T-cell therapy

CAR T-cell therapy is a kind of immunotherapy, which is used to fight cancer-forming cells to the cancer patient. Dr. Kaushal Kalra, Head of the Department of Oncology Department, said that in this therapy, the immune cell of the patient is taken out and modified. After this, these cells are inserted into cancer patients, so that they can fight cancer -making cells.

How to execute therapy

The team of doctors took out the immune cell of the female patient and sent them to Lalab to modify the colon. After this, these cells were trended to fight against cancer by vitro method and they were made in lakhs. When these sales agreed to fight against cancer, these cells were put in the patient’s body. After the completion of this therapy, positive symptoms were seen in the patient. Doctors say that the patient may take some time to recover completely.
