This feature prevents a mail from being sent for a pre-set time period. In such a situation, the user gets the opportunity to stop this mail from reaching the receiver’s inbox. This feature is available on the desktop version of Gmail as well as on mobile and the method of using it in both is almost the same.

How to undo sent mail?

If you have sent the mail from desktop, then after sending the mail, message sent box appears in the left bottom corner. There is an undo option on this. As soon as you click it, the mail opens again. You can also edit or delete it if you want. Similarly, as soon as a mail is sent on the mobile, a sent notification comes. Undo option is given on this. By tapping on this you can undo the sent mail.

How to extend the cancellation time?

Gmail also gives its users the option to set a time period for undoing the sent mail. For this, open Gmail and click or tap on the gear icon. Now go to See All Settings here. After this, the option of undo send will appear under the General tab. In this you can set the cancellation time between 5-30 seconds.
