PIB (Press Information Bureau) has said that the thugs have created many fake websites with names similar to the schemes of the Ministry of Education. Their purpose is to cheat people in the name of government jobs. Some major fake websites are as follows.

www.sarvashiksha.online, https://samagra.shikshabhiyan.co.in, https://shikshabhiyan.org.in. These websites look like a government portal so that people cannot differentiate between real-fake and become a victim of cheating.

The main objective of these fake portals is to mislead people and cause economic losses. These websites ask for money from candidates in the name of government jobs. Since their design and name is similar to government websites, people trust and get caught in the trap.

The government has come to know about many such fake websites and social media accounts which are misleading people. False advertisements of jobs are given on these websites. People are asked to deposit registration fee to get a job. The design, logo and content of the website seems so real that people consider it real. Fake job posts are shared on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.

Nowadays the thugs have become so vicious that it has become difficult to differentiate between fake and real website. But by adopting some precautions, you can avoid cheating: Any government recruitment process is always published on the government portal (eg sarkariresult.com, employmentnews.gov.in).

The domains of government websites are “. Gov.in” or “.nic.in”. If the website “.online”, “.org.in” or “.co.in”, be cautious. Government departments do not ask for any registration fee in lieu of jobs. If a website is asking for money, then it is 100% fake. Always visit the official website of the concerned department for information about government jobs. Avoid clicking on any unknown link.

If you become a victim of any online fraud, then immediately adopt these steps. Go to the Cyber Crime Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in) and file your complaint. Complain in your nearest cyber cell or police station. If you have transferred money, contact the bank and try to stop the transaction.
