
Government telecom company BSNL is ready to start its 4G service across the country. The company has targeted to set up one lakh 4G towers by June. Most of these towers have started working. It is expected that by the end of June, all 4G sites of the company will be operational. Soon after, work will be started for 5G connectivity. It can start from the national capital Delhi.
How many progress on 4G so far?
Recently, Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had told that one lakh sites were planned for BSNL’s 4G connectivity. Of these, 89 thousand have been installed and the single cell function test process is going on. He said that till May-June, there is a plan to make all one lakh sites operational. After this, 5G work will start from June. According to reports, BSNL is the only company in the country from which 4G technology itself is developed. The rest of the companies took the help of foreign companies for 4G connectivity.
BSNL’s 5G service can start from Delhi
According to media reports, BSNL is planning to test 5G (standalone) in Delhi. Along with this, the company also has the option to upgrade its 4G sites to 5G. TCS, working with BSNL, has also confirmed that the company’s 4G sites can be upgraded to 5G NSA (non-standalone) with the help of software updates. Let us know that BSNL is following in terms of starting 5G connectivity. Airtel and Jio have been offering 5G services for several months, while Vodafone Idea has also started its 5G services in Mumbai. Soon this service will be started in the country parts.
