Iran’s Weapons Technology: In the last few years, Iran has increased its military strength tremendously. Despite all the economic restrictions and technical sanctions of Western countries, Iran has not only improved its traditional weapons but has also progressed in indigenous weapons. Today, when his tension is increasing with military superpowers like Israel and America, the question becomes important that what weapons Iran is equipped with techniques and is it really in a position to compete with these countries?
Missile technology: Iran’s biggest strength
The most important aspect of Iran’s military strategy is its ballistic missile technology. Iran has long distance missiles such as Shehab, Ghadar, Sejil, and Khorramshahr with more than 2,000 kilometers. These missiles can easily reach Israel. Apart from this, Iran has also gained self-sufficiency in low and medium-distance missiles like Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar which have been equipped with GPS and Inrsal Guidance System for accuracy.
Drone and UAV
Iran has also made a lot of progress in drones and UAV technology in recent years. Drots like Shahd-129, Shahd-136, and Mohzer-6 are not only capable of monitoring, but can also be used for accurate bombing and suicide attacks. Especially the news of Shahd-136 being used by Russia in Ukraine War has brought the Iranian drone technology to global attention.
Air defense system and radar
Iran has developed several indigenous systems to increase its air defense capabilities, including air defense systems like Bawar-373, Khordad-15, and Syed-2/3. Bavar-373 is considered to be a collision of Russia’s S-300 system. These systems have the ability to kill cruise missiles, drones and stealth aircraft.
Navy and submarine
The Iranian Navy is also becoming increasingly modern. The country has built mini-and mid-size submarines like Fateh and Ghadir, which are equipped with torpedo and missiles. This Navy plays a big role in strategic regions such as Persian Gulf and Hormuj Strait.
Can America and Israel compete?
Iran is not technically equal to the US or Israel in a direct confrontation, but Iran has become an impressive challenge with the help of asymmetric war, non-traditional weapons, and shadow organizations (such as Hizbullah, Houthi Rebel). His missiles and drone techniques give him a strategic edge, especially if the war is prolonged.
