If you want to enter Apple Ecosystem for the first time, then iPhone 16E can be a great option. In this you will have to make some compromises but it is part of the latest iPhone series and comes with the latest AI features like Apple Intelligence. If photography is not a priority for you, the iPhone 16E will not let you realize any big agreement.

iPhone 16E Review: Design and Display

The iPhone 16E has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch for the face ID. Instead of the muted switch found in the old iPhone SE series, Apple has given Action button in which you can do many tasks from launching the camera to activating do not disturb mode.

In the coming time, Visual Intelligence features will also be integrated into it. Apple has added USB-C port to the iPhone 16E this time, which has made charging and connectivity easier than before.

The iPhone 16E has an A18 chipset of Apple which is a slightly mild version of the chipset used in the iPhone 16 series. It has 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. According to Apple, it is 80% faster than the A13 Bionic which was used in iPhone 11.

The company believes that iPhone 16E is a good upgrade for those who are still using 4-5 years old iPhones. With the help of Neural Engine, this chip associated with AI can do six times faster.

iPhone 16e Review: Camera and Photography

The iPhone 16E has a single rear camera of 48MP which is similar to the primary camera of the iPhone 16 but its sensor is slightly small.

It supports 2x telephoto zoom but it is zoom digital, although Apple calls it “optical quality”.

By default, this camera takes photos at 24MP, but 48MP mode is also available. It has features like portrait mode, night mode and HDR.

Talking about the front camera, it has a 12MP truedepth camera which supports autofocus and is capable of 4K video recording (up to 60fps).

iPhone 16E Review: Battery Life and Charging

Apple has not stated the exact capacity of the battery but the company claims that it comes with the biggest battery from any 6.1-inch iPhone ever. It is capable of giving video playback up to 26 hours. The iPhone 16E has supported wireless charging but it does not support Magsafe. Apart from this, it also contains safety features like Emergency SOS and Crash Detection.

Apple Intelligence and Visual Intelligence

The iPhone 16E features Apple’s new Apple Intelligence and Visual Intelligence features. Although these features will be rolled out in India in April, but I tested them at an event in Mumbai. With the help of Apple Intelligence, you will get a Genmoji feature, so that you will be able to make emoji of your choice. For example, if you type “elephant” and “chef”, you will get emoji wearing an elephant chef hat.

In addition, the notes app will have Chatgpt integration, so that you can take the help of AI to write, research and improve your text. That is, you will not even need to download the Chatgpt app. Visual Intelligence feature will be connected to Action button. By pressing it, you will point the camera on anything and AI will give immediate information.

Is iPhone 16E a better option?

Now the question arises whether the iPhone 16E is a good option? Many people are comparing it to iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. If you want a flagship experience, the iPhone 15 can be a better option because after the discount it can be found for about 60,000 rupees. But the thing to note here is that the iPhone 15 does not have the Apple Intelligence support while the iPhone 16E supports it. The iPhone 15 has Dynamic Island while the Action button has been given in the iPhone 16E.

You have to decide what is more important for you. In the case of the camera, the iPhone 15 has additional ultra-wide lenses that facilitate more versatil photography. The iPhone 16E has only one camera lens but it still clicks pictures of good quality.
