  • To make moong dal chila, soak 1 cup moongdal peel in water. Soak moongdal for overnight or you can soak it for 5-6 hours. This will swell the lentils well and make it easier to grind.

  • Now wash the lentils thoroughly with water and remove all the water and grind it in a grinder. If you want to mix some water while grinding the lentils, you can add it. Because to make cheela, the batter has to be kept slightly thin.

  • While grinding lentils, add 2 green chillies, 1 inch of ginger pieces and 2-3 bud garlic. Which will be well crushed with lentils and enhance the taste of cheela. Take out the lentils in a bowl and then add salt and a little cumin seeds as per taste.

  • Now apply oil on the pan and cool the griddle or pan after it is hot. Now take the batter and spread it on the pan like a cheela. To make moong dal chila, a batter -like batter has to be prepared. Allow the cheela to the medium flame and then turn it over.

  • Press the cheela from both sides and bake it well. Now make all the cheela in the same way and serve them with green chutney or sauce. Green moong dal cheela is very tasty to eat. It is also easy to make and superhldi snacks. Which children and elders like it very well.
